Why Trinh Foundation?

Trinh is the name of a 17 year old girl who attends a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.  Unfortunately she has only recently had the opportunity to undergo a cleft palate repair.  Despite her significant speech and hearing difficulties, Trinh with the help of her mother, is now highly motivated to improve her communication abilities so that she can be understood by her peers and realise her full potential in society.  She requires a lot of intensive specialist help in order to achieve this ambition.  Trinh’s situation clearly illustrates how a formalised course in Speech Therapy will benefit the people of Vietnam.
